CoTangent Dance ComPany

This year marks the inaugural season of CoTangent Dance, a preprofessional contemporary dance company under the umbrella of ArcTangent Dance. The goals of CoTangent Dance are to provide aspiring dancers with a professional company experience, foster connections with fellow dancers, and the opportunity to dance and grow in a non-competitive environment.

Qualifications and Expectations

• Dancers must be between the age of 13-18 years old at the time of the performance on September 21st.

• Training in contemporary, ballet, jazz, or modern is preferable, but any training style is encouraged to audition. Knowledge of improvisation and partnering is a plus!

• Auditions are May 26th, 2024 at 5pm in San Jose, CA (Location to be shared after filling out this form). If you are unable to attend this audition, please email contact@arctangentdance.com to make alternative arrangements. 

• Rehearsals are Sundays, 5-7pm starting in August 4th, 2024 through September 15th, 2024, culminating in a mandatory performance on September 21st, at the inaugural SpARC Dance Festival at Mexican Heritage Theater.

• One-time member's due of $100. This covers studio rentals and the choreographer's stipend. Please reach out if you need a scholarship to cover the cost.
